L'idea della fotografia intesa come viaggio "sulla strada" (Robert Frank-Jack Keruac) mi ha sempre affascinato: l'esperienza della strada e soprattutto dei luoghi.
Luogo inteso non solo come scenario di un'azione umana ma come protagonista della fotografia stessa.
Prestare attenzione ai luoghi è raccontare o immaginare ciò che l'uomo ha fatto o vissuto in quel dato posto. In queste fotografie ci sono molti segni dell'uomo sul paesaggio, non sono foto che raccontano la bellezza, (la ricerca della quale si rivela un tema inadeguato nella complessità del mondo moderno) ma la stratificazione dei significati del reale.
The concept of "on the road" photography (Robert Frank – Jack Keruac) has always fascinated me: to experience the roads and, above all, the locations.
"Location" not only intended as a "stage" for human activity but also as the main character of the photo itself.
To pay attention to a place means to be able to tell or imagine what someone did there or how they lived.
Human presence is very evident in the landscape of these photos. These "speak" not only about beauty (the research of which reveals itself as an inadequate theme within the complexity of the modern world) but also about the stratification of the meaning of reality.
